Minimal Access Cranial Suspension Face Lift

We believe that one should always use the simplest and least invasive form of facelift that will succeed in correcting the sagging caused by gravity in any individual patient. To this end, our usual approach is the MACS (Minimal Access Cranial Suspension) facelift in which the soft tissue layers under the skin are lifted and tightened without pulling on the skin itself. Once the deeper layers have been lifted, the skin is re-positioned and the excess skin is removed before suturing under the skin with no surface stitches at all.

This basic method can be adjusted for each individual patient and it can be extended backwards to add extra lift to the neck or forward to add lift to the brow.

Negative Effects

1. Swelling and Bruising that usually lasts 10 to 14 days

3. The skin on the sides of the face is initially numb, but regains feeling in approximately 3 months.
